BBQ Party
What better than an all-American, classic backyard BBQ party! That is exactly what I was inspired to create an invitation for. I wanted to create the look of it to really capture the messy, fun feel of what a backyard party is supposed to be like. As I planned this design, I always had in mind a scene of a warm summer, Sunday afternoon outside some family’s house in their lawn, smoke from multiple barbecue grills filling the air, dads with beer bellies in tank-tops playing corn hole, everywhere you look, there is someone’s child running around. To depict all this in a single invitation, I chose bright colors, fun fonts, cartoons of food, and the strategic implementation of spilt sauces that serve to frame information about the event—all centered around the center design, with flames emerging from an awesome grill and backdrops the words, “BBQ PARTY.”
